Product Guides
Practical information for everyday use, upkeep, and long‑term care.
Always Pan – Care & Use
First use
Wash your Always Pan with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly. No “seasoning” is needed for the ceramic non‑stick coating.
Everyday cooking
-
Use low to medium heat. The pan heats quickly – high heat is not necessary and may damage the coating.
-
Use wooden, silicone, or nylon utensils. Metal utensils can scratch the surface.
-
The pan is oven‑safe up to 425°F (218°C) without the lid. The lid is oven‑safe to 425°F as well, but the nesting utensil and steamer basket are not oven‑safe.
Cleaning
-
Hand wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive pads or steel wool.
-
Let the pan cool before washing – sudden temperature changes can crack the ceramic coating.
-
For stuck‑on food, soak with warm water for 10–15 minutes, then gently wipe.
-
For stubborn stains, make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply, let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse.
What to avoid
-
Dishwasher (even if some versions say dishwasher‑safe, hand washing is best)
-
High heat without food
-
Aerosol cooking sprays (they leave a sticky residue)
-
Metal utensils or scouring pads
Storage
If you stack pans, place a paper towel or soft cloth between them to protect the coating.
Perfect Pot – Care & Use
First use

Wooden, silicone, or nylon utensils recommended.
-
Oven‑safe up to 425°F (218°C) without the glass lid. The lid is also oven‑safe to 425°F.
Cleaning

Soak if needed – the ceramic coating releases food easily.
-
Baking soda paste for tough stains.
What to avoid
-
Dishwasher (hand washing extends the life of the coating)
-
High heat or empty heating
-
Metal utensils
Cast Iron Products (if you carry any)
First use – Seasoning
Our Place cast iron comes pre‑seasoned, but you can add a thin layer of oil after each wash to build the non‑stick surface.
Cleaning cast iron
-
Wash with warm water and a stiff brush (use a little soap if needed, but avoid heavy detergents).
-
Dry immediately with a towel, then place on low heat for 1 minute to ensure no moisture remains.
-
Apply a light coat of neutral oil (avocado, grapeseed, or vegetable oil) while warm.
What to avoid
-
Soaking in water
-
Dishwasher
-
Using soap too often (it can strip seasoning)
Tableware (Plates, Bowls, Mugs)
Daily use
-
Microwave, oven, fridge, and freezer safe (check individual product pages for exact limits).
-
Avoid extreme temperature changes (e.g., freezer directly into hot oven).
Cleaning
-
Dishwasher safe. However, hand washing is recommended to preserve colors and glaze over time.
-
Use non‑abrasive sponges to avoid scratching.
Stacking
Stack carefully – while durable, heavy impact can chip the glaze.
Kitchen Tools – Walnut Cutting Board
First use
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Optionally apply food‑safe mineral oil or walnut oil to condition the wood.
Everyday care
-
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
-
Dry immediately with a towel.
-
Stand on edge to air dry completely (do not lay flat while wet).
Maintenance
-
Every few weeks, rub with food‑safe mineral oil or board butter to prevent drying and cracking.
-
If the surface becomes rough, lightly sand with fine‑grit sandpaper, wipe clean, and re‑oil.
What to avoid
-
Dishwasher (will warp and crack the wood)
-
Soaking in water
-
Leaving wet for long periods
Kitchen Tools – Knives
Daily care
-
Hand wash with mild soap and water. Dry immediately.
-
Store in a knife block, on a magnetic strip, or with blade covers. Do not toss loose in a drawer.
Sharpening
-
Hone with a sharpening steel before each use (if you have one).
-
For dull knives, use a pull‑through sharpener or professional sharpening service every 3–6 months depending on use.
What to avoid
-
Dishwasher (causes rust and dulls the blade quickly)
-
Cutting on glass, stone, or ceramic surfaces (use wood or plastic cutting boards)
-
Using the knife as a can opener or screwdriver

Using metal utensils on the non‑stick baking pan (use silicone or wood)
General Non‑Toxic Care Tips
-
Why ceramic coating? Our Place uses Thermakind® – a PTFE‑, PFOA‑, PFAS‑, lead‑, and cadmium‑free ceramic coating. It is safe for you and the environment.
-
Avoid thermal shock: Do not put a hot pan directly under cold water. Let it cool first.
-
Use gentle cleaners: No bleach, chlorine, or abrasive powders.
-
When to replace: If the non‑stick coating is visibly peeling, chipping, or scratching deeply, it’s time to replace the pan.
